Ok...so what do we do now?

1 Chronicles 12:32

And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do;

Don't read on to quickly...note that there where men within Israel, specifically within the tribe of Issacher that knew exactly what Israel should do. This understanding didn't come because they were more knowledgeable than anyone else. It wasn't because the had BA's or MA's or PHD's why they were qualified to let Israel know what was necessary to do. No, not at all.

It was because they "had understanding of the times." These men of the tribe of Issacher knew for themselves, personally, first hand the specific seasons and times they were. Because of that, they were able to not only see what others struggled to see, but they knew what the corresponding actions should be.

If these were just mere human men with finite, limited knowledge, then how did they comprehend what the times meant and what they needed to do?

Their wisdom, knowledge and information regarding the times did not originate with them. It came from an infinity higher source of knowledge than humanity.

Isaiah 46:9-10

[God speaking of Himself] 46 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, [These are pretty big claims, how can He be so sure? Read on!] 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: [The Father knows the future]

John 14:29

[Jesus speaking] 29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe. [The Son knows the future]

John 16:13

[Jesus speaking of The Holy Spirit] 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

[The Spirit knows the future]

The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit all know the future. Not because they were told it, but because they all dwell outside of time and the past, present and future are all the same to them.

The world is in free fall and panic! Every element of our world is being turned upside down, collapsing and fading. Earthquakes, tornadoes, faltering economies, daily news of sickening crimes, injustice and lies. It's do as I say not as I do.

Unfortunately, there are those who should know better who are also in a state of panic, unrest and uneasiness. So I want to encourage you that this situation has not taken us by surprise, while the details (Covid-19 and the precise time) was unknown to us, the situation we find ourselves in definitely was not unknown to us.

In fact, it feels strangely familiar if you've ever read Revelation 13:15-17.

Ok so back to the original question...what to do we do now?

Remember the men of Issacher? They didn't panic because they knew...they knew the times and they knew that God was ultimately in control. They knew that this was what had been predicted so they knew what steps to take and when to take them.

So what do you do now?

1. Get to know Jesus personally as friend. [More on how to do this in future blogs. But if you can't wait, begin by reading the Gospels...Matthew, Mark, Luke and John]

2. Get to know Jesus through the prophecies. 2 Peter 1:19

3. Get to know Jesus as your personal saviour. John 3:16-17 Romans 5:6-8

4. Watch for the things Jesus told you to watch for. When you see them, go back to step 1 through step 4 again. Luke 21:28
