It's Coming! Can You See It?

I didn't plan to write again this week but what I'm going to share with you is too potent to leave on simmer.
God has, through His Word, made it clear what we are to expect in the closing scenes, final moments of this earth's history. Everyone would do well if they paid attention to what God has to say. Let me give you Bible first to underpin this blog:
Matthew 24:15
When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
2 Peter 1:19
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Revelation 1:1-3
1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: 2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. 3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
By the mouth of three biblical witnesses, it is clear that God has given us the prophetic Word to ensure that we don't miss what we need to see. But so many will not watch. They refuse to allow themselves to be convicted by the messages God has sent and is sending...not to scare them, but to prepare them.
Unfortunately, this kind of attitude is not new. It was demonstrated in times past:
2 Chronicles 36:14-16
14 Moreover all the chief of the priests, and the people, transgressed very much after all the abominations of the heathen; and polluted the house of the Lord which he had hallowed in Jerusalem. 15 And the Lord God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place:
16 But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the Lordarose against his people, till there was no remedy.
What worries me is that there are those who often lambast the people that lived in history and ask "why did they do that, It's amazing how they ended up there," not realising that they are making the exact same mistakes.
Let me show you what I mean.
The time of Christ's coming, His anointing by the Holy Spirit, His death, and the giving of the gospel to the Gentiles, were definitely pointed out. It was the privilege of the Jewish people to understand these prophecies, and to recognize their fulfillment in the mission of Jesus. Christ urged upon His disciples the importance of prophetic study. Referring to the prophecy given to Daniel in regard to their time, He said, “Whoso readeth, let him understand.” Matthew 24:15. After His resurrection He explained to the disciples in “all the prophets” “the things concerning Himself.” Luke 24:27.

As the message of Christ's first advent announced the kingdom of His grace, so the message of His second advent announces the kingdom of His glory. And the second message, like the first, is based on the prophecies...The Saviour Himself has given signs of His coming, and He says, “When ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.” “And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.” “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” Luke 21:31, 34, 36.

Why is this movement worthy of its own blog? Why are the antenna's buzzing with prophetic excitement?
Let's read the words of the movement and then read the words of an Inspired writer to see where this movement is heading.

January 8, 2022 will mark the historic faith-based heritage event called THE RENEWAL: Restoring America’s Founding Covenant, with leaders gathered from across the country at the Strawberry Festival Amphitheater in Plant City, Florida.
We cannot solve spiritual problems by natural means such as military might, elected officials or even human governments. God made a covenant with Israel but America made a covenant with God, which we have broken. God is sovereign over all as stated in Daniel 2:21, "He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding." The Renewal is a spiritual solution to the current state of affairs in our land. Recovenanting and reconciliation combine to be the next Biblical step in the five-step renewal process (Repentance, Reconciliation, Restoration, Revival, Reformation) for the faithful remnant to usher in the mercy of our Lord.
"The date of The Renewal – January 8 – is based off Exodus 1:8 and Deuteronomy 1:8, verses in which God instructed the ancient Hebrews, after suffering oppression in Egypt and wandering in the desert for 40 years, to take possession of the Promised Land."
"God’s redemptive judgments are shaking and waking the Body of Christ with the lateness of the hour on the prophetic clock," says Rev. Kevin Jessip, president of the Global Strategic Alliance, co-founder and president of The Return International, and a descendant of “Pilgrim Fathers” pastor John Robinson. Jessip says the parallels between what’s happening today and the Israelites’ exodus from Egypt are startling, and are calling for a re-covenanting of our country with God.
If you are familiar with Revelation 13 and the book The Great Controversy then you recognise the sentiment of that language. But hold on, we're just warming up...

“God made a covenant with Israel, but America made a covenant with God,” says Rev. Kevin Jessip, founder and president of the Global Strategic Alliance and co-founder of The Return. “America has broken the covenant [1 John 3:4] made by our forefathers. As we know, from the Bible, God takes covenants very seriously. This [The breaking of the covenant] has brought our once blessed nation under the judgments of God.
“The Renewal is about restoring our covenant with God,” Jessip says. “It started with The Return with repentance, now we’re going through reconciliation and restoration, which is renewing the covenant we broke with Almighty God. In The Renewal, we are saying, ‘Lord, have mercy on us in the midst of the redemptive judgments happening.’ [What are the events that the organisers are citing as divine judgments for breaking their covenant with God?]
“The fires, plagues, floods, and everything we are seeing are no different than the redemptive judgments ancient Egypt experienced. The Renewal is a reconciliation and restoration of the covenant, which is part of returning to God. It is the next step. I believe after this renewal step that the revival is coming.”
“One of the questions we’ll explore at The Renewal is have we reached the fullness of America?” Jessip asked. “Is there a time when the ‘cup of iniquity’ gets so full that America comes to an end?" [The answer to this question is made plain throughout the Bible. Read Daniel 5. Read Matthew 27:15-30]
America may not be destroyed or cease to exist, but when national sin and rejection of God’s laws persist, according to the pattern in ancient Israel, the following will happen:
1. God will permit the nation to be ruled by bad leaders. 2. God will permit strangers to rise higher than His people. 3. God will not deliver us from those who hate us. 4. God will allow economic challenges. 5. God will lift His hand of protection to allow natural disasters to take place.
[If you've read the latter portion of the book The Great Controversy by Ellen G White; chapter 35 onwards; then the hairs on the back of your neck will have just stood up!]

But before I close off, here are the words of the Inspired writer, written in the 19th century.
It will be declared that men are offending God by the violation of the Sunday sabbath; that this sin has brought calamities which will not cease until Sunday observance shall be strictly enforced; and that those who present the claims of the fourth commandment, thus destroying reverence for Sunday, are troublers of the people, preventing their restoration to divine favor and temporal prosperity. GC 590.1
[Did you notice the link between sin and judgments? Which "sin" will be cited as the one that causes the upsurge of calamities?]
Notwithstanding the widespread declension of faith and piety, there are true followers of Christ in these churches. Before the final visitation of God's judgments upon the earth there will be among the people of the Lord such a revival of primitive godliness as has not been witnessed since apostolic times. The Spirit and power of God will be poured out upon His children...The enemy of souls desires to hinder this work; and before the time for such a movement shall come, he will endeavor to prevent it by introducing a counterfeit. [How?] In those churches which he can bring under his deceptive power he will make it appear that God's special blessing is poured out; there will be manifest what is thought to be great religious interest. Multitudes will exult that God is working marvelously for them, when the work is that of another spirit. Under a religious guise, Satan will seek to extend his influence over the Christian world. GC 464.1
[Read Revelation 13:12-13 and then 1 Kings 18:30-39. Note that the fire that falls from heaven is in 1 Kings 18 was a token of the true God. It will be counterfeited in Revelation 13:12-13 which will deceive the whole world]
With rapid steps we are approaching this period. When Protestant churches shall unite with the secular power to sustain a false religion, for opposing which their ancestors endured the fiercest persecution, then will the papal sabbath be enforced by the combined authority of church and state. There will be a national apostasy, which will end only in national ruin. Manuscript 51 1899 par.19
[The "national sin" that will bring "national ruin," the sin that will cause the cup of iniquity to become full, is the legislation of Sunday, the first day of the week in place of the Bible Sabbath, the seventh day of the week.]
Never did this message apply with greater force than it applies today. More and more the world is setting at nought the claims of God. Men have become bold in transgression. The wickedness of the inhabitants of the world has almost filled up the measure of their iniquity. This earth has almost reached the place where God will permit the destroyer to work his will upon it. The substitution of the laws of men for the law of God, the exaltation, by merely human authority, of Sunday in place of the Bible Sabbath, is the last act in the drama. When this substitution becomes universal, God will reveal Himself. He will arise in His majesty to shake terribly the earth. 7T 141.1
Ok, so this is enough for now. There is so much that could have been said, so much that needs to be said but let's stick a pin here.
Given that this event takes place on the 8th January 2022 this is a fluid situation. Much more will be revealed when the event goes live.
